Dr. Dario Calderone, M.A.

Postdoctoral Researcher

Responsibilities

Dario Alessandro Calderone is a postdoc researcher specialized in topography and digital Archaeology. Currently, Dario's project focuses on the study of South-western Sicily during the Greek period and, in particular, on the Greek site of Eloro, near the Vendicari Natural Reserve and the town of Noto (Sr). His main goal is not only the study of the territory and archaeological contexts, but also to contribute to the digitization of archaeological remains.
Dario participated in archaeological excavations in Italy, Malta, and Greece. Since 2021 he has been collaborating with the Institute for Digital Exploration of the University of South Florida.
